<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source unit of a product sample and a vending machine using the light source unit of the product sample which can illuminate a product sample so that a pseudo light source exists by easily emitting light emitted from one light source from right and left inclined reflection surfaces, and illuminate more product samples with a small number of light sources. <P>SOLUTION: A light source unit of a product sample includes a light guide having a first surface facing upper faces and/or lower faces of a plurality of product samples arranged in a sample storage portion, and a semiconductor light-emitting element light source provided on a second surface side on the opposite side to the first surface. A V groove having a V-shaped cross section is formed on the surface on the opposite side to a light source of the light guide, and an inclined groove is formed on the end face side of the surface on the opposite side thereto.
