<p>In order to reduce the weight of the lockup device, and reliably reduce the size in the axial direction while maintaining space between the front cover and the inner circumferential portion of the turbine, this lockup device is provided with a clutch (24), an input plate (61), an output plate (62), a torsion spring (63), and an input plate support member (68). The clutch (24) is disposed between the front cover (2) and the turbine (4), for alternately transmitting or interrupting transmission of torque. The input plate (61) is linked to a clutch output member (27) of the clutch (24). The output plate (62) is fastened to a turbine shell (14). The torsion spring (63) is disposed between the input plate (61) and the output plate (62), for absorbing and damping rotational vibration. The input plate support member (68) is fastened to the turbine shell (14) at the front cover side thereof, positioning the input plate (61) in the radial direction and the axial direction.</p> |
