PURPOSE: A system for operating a mobile gift certificate and a method thereof are provided to effectively offer an authentication code for a mobile gift certificate to a user of a mobile terminal, thereby effectively reinforcing the security for the mobile gift certificate. CONSTITUTION: An authentication number generating unit(422) generates an authentication code corresponding to a mobile gift certificate. An authentication number providing unit(424) providers the generated authentication number to a user of a mobile terminal. When the user uses the mobile gift certificate, an authentication number confirming unit(426) authenticates the mobile gift certificate based on the generated authentication number. The authentication number is issued through ARS. |
