In the present invention, a waterproof and highly reliable integrated molded glass article is manufactured by glass insert molding. A method for manufacturing an integrated molded glass article (1a) in which a plate glass (20) is fixed inside an integrally resin-molded frame (10a), wherein the frame is provided with an edge (13) that has an upper surface (11) connected to an upper surface (21) of the plate glass, the edge supporting a rim of a lower surface (22) of the plate glass; a resin layer (30) is formed into the shape of a frame encircling the lower surface rim of the plate glass; the plate glass is arranged in a mold (41, 42); and molten resin (110) is injected into the closed mold to mold the frame, thereby securely bonding together the lower surface rim of the plate glass and the upper surface (14) of the edge part. The resin layer is compatible with the resin constituting the frame at the lower surface rim of the plate glass, and functions as a cushioning material for reducing stress applied to the plate glass.
