<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal lighting instrument that includes a louver but is susceptible to dust and snow adherence. <P>SOLUTION: A louver 40 and a light transmissive cover portion 30 capable of covering the whole louver 40 are provided in front of a projection side of a signal light unit 20. The cover portion 30 has an irregular hemispherical shape in which an obliquely upper portion of a hemispherical dome is elevated in a pyramid shape so as to form a peak at an upper portion, and prevents adhesion of blowing snow and makes falling of adhered snow balls easy. The louver 40 is fixed with its orientation adjustable by an angle adjusting portion 46.
