<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DAC that eliminates a conversion error (linear distortion). <P>SOLUTION: A linear approximate value operation circuit 3 computes a linear approximate value YL from a coefficient A and a constant C of linear approximation of a DAC 1 stored in a coefficient/constant storage ROM 4 and a digital input D. The computed analog value YL is input into AD conversion (successive approximation) 2 whose elements are bit weights of the DAC and a constant, and a computed digital value DA is input into the DAC 1.
