<p>The method involves determining a liner momentum of a relative movement between a cantilever unit (2) and a steering spindle bearing unit (3) for rotatable supporting of a steering spindle (4). The cantilever unit is provided for vehicle-mounted fixing at motor vehicle. The steering spindle bearing unit is held by the cantilever unit. The linear momentum is determined by a sensor (100) for determining a position of the steering spindle bearing unit along the displacement. An independent claim is also included for device for regulating a controllable energy absorber in a steering system of a motor vehicle.</p> |
