PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a control method are provided to enable the differentiating of a display form of the subtitles corresponding to a sound feature related to a video, thereby easily enabling the recognizing of contents related to the video through the subtitles. CONSTITUTION: A display unit(151) displays an image corresponding to image data based on a reproduction command for a video. A subtitle processing unit(182) outputs subtitles related to the video on the display unit with the image. A control unit(180) controls the subtitle processing unit in order to differentiate a display form of the subtitles corresponding to a sound feature of audio data related to the image.
