PURPOSE: A gas insulated breaker is provided to improve breaking performance as an inner shield is installed in the thickness of a supporting insulator. CONSTITUTION: A supporting insulator is installed in a pressure container. The supporting insulator comprises a fixed contact point(300) inside. The supporting insulator comprises a movable contact point(400) inside. Inner shields cover the outer surface of the supporting insulator. The inner shields relieve the electric fields of main and arcing contact points between the fixed and movable contact points.
