<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a printing poor section from being formed constantly, and to enable the reliability of a printing accuracy to be improved more. <P>SOLUTION: The gravure printing apparatus includes a plurality of supporting rollers which support a printing sheet moved at a high speed, an impression cylinder roller which is formed between the supporting rollers and pressurizes the printing sheet to a lower part, a defect detecting means which detects defects of the printing sheet before moved to the impression cylinder roller, and a gravure part which is disposed opposite to the impression cylinder roller via the printing sheet and moves in response to a signal transmitted from the defect detecting means to print an electrode pattern excluding a defective portion to the printing sheet. The productivity is improved. The invention also has the effect of reducing production costs.
