<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exhibit an attenuation function for vibration in both horizontal and vertical directions, to reduce facility costs, and to apply a base isolation device for a large-sized structure which is installed between an upper structure and a lower structure for attenuating vibration transferred from one of the upper and lower structures to the other. <P>SOLUTION: A base isolation device includes a sliding bearing structure in which a sliding material 1 is fixed to an upper structure A and a slide plate 2 is fixed to a lower structure B. The slide plate 2 is formed of a plate which is energized to be curved in a recessed shape from the center to the sliding material 1 and to which elasticity is set to be flat with a load of the upper structure during no base isolating operation, and fixed while being supported by a supporting leg 4 partially only in the center. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
