<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce such a state that a physical load is applied to a bus bar between battery blocks, while enhancing the workability of maintenance work. <P>SOLUTION: The power supply device includes a plurality of battery blocks 10 each consisting of a plurality of stacked prismatic battery cells 1, and bus bars 11 for connecting them electrically on the end faces of adjoining battery blocks 10. On the boundary surface of the battery blocks 10 coupled by means of the bus bars 11, a coupling tool 12 for coupling them mechanically is provided.
