<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for individually discriminating a cow having useful economic traits with proteins as a biomarker by newly identifying the proteins relating to the economic traits of beef cows by proteome analysis, and a cow discriminating kit to be used in the method. <P>SOLUTION: The method for discriminating a cow of this invention includes a collection step for collecting body fluid and body tissue from a cow (1), an extraction step for extracting all proteins from the collected body fluid and body tissue (2), a measurement step for measuring the content of a specific protein among all of the extracted proteins (3), and a discrimination step for discriminating economic traits of the cow on the basis of the content of the specific protein (4). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
