<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing apparatus that can read a plurality of pages of originals and perform printing suitably in a state that a plurality of pages of images are assigned side by side in a scanning direction in which a recording head moves reciprocatively. <P>SOLUTION: In a scanner part 16 included in a printing apparatus 1, a first original is read and a second original is then read upon completion of the reading of the first original. Second segment data corresponding to a range read by the scanner part 16, namely, a partial range of the second original obtained by dividing the second original in a second direction are created in a state that first image data corresponding to the first original are stored (S106 and S108). Combined data obtained by combining first segment data corresponding to a partial range of the first original which is obtained by dividing in the second direction the first original to be assigned side by side together with the partial range of the second original indicated by the second segment data, and the second segment data are created (S116).
