<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a perpendicularity measuring method and a spot welding machine for performing the method having stable welding quality by eliminating variation depending on a worker. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes: a back pressure measuring step (step S2) for jetting air to a member W to be welded and measuring back pressures P1, P2 of the jetted air; and a perpendicularity calculating step (steps S3-S5) for obtaining clearances δ corresponding to the measured back pressures P1, P2 based on a characteristic map of the back pressures P1, P2 and clearances δ1, δ2, and calculating a perpendicularity θ based on the clearances δ1, δ2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
