<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferrule wherein an adhesive applied to a shaft smoothly flows into between the ferrule and the inner circumferential surface of a hosel hole and thus ferrule fitting work is facilitated, and also to provide a golf club using the ferrule. <P>SOLUTION: The shaft 3 is inserted into the hosel hole 2 in a hosel part 1 and they are bonded together by the adhesive 4. The ferrule 10 is fit onto the shaft 3 and the ferrule 10 is also bonded to the hosel part 1 by the adhesive 4. The ferrule 10 includes: an upper body 11; a diameter-reducing surface 12 for reducing the diameter in the centripetal direction from the lower end of the upper body 11; an inserted part 13 protruded downward from the upper body 11; a groove 14 provided circumferentially on the outer circumferential surface of the inserted part 13; and a shaft insertion hole 15 penetrating the axial center part of the ferrule 10. An upper outer circumferential surface 13a and a lower outer circumferential surface 13b are both cylindrical.
