PURPOSE: An electro gas arc welding apparatus and method are provided to improve protection effect at an arc melting point by supplying cut wires together with protective gas. CONSTITUTION: An electro gas arc welding apparatus(100) comprises a torch for an electrode wire(110) in which an electrode wire(W) is installed at the leading end, a cut wire supply unit(120) which supplies a cut wire to be melted by arc generated by the electrode wire to reduce heat input, and a welding carriage unit which is connected to the torch for an electrode wire and the cut wire supply unit and oscillates the torch for an electrode wire and the cut wire supply unit. |
