<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arcless electric switch gear. <P>SOLUTION: An electric switch includes a stepped resistance block 110 having a first end part 112 having first electric resistivity and a second end part 114 having electric resistivity larger than the first electric resistivity. The electric switch further includes a fixed contactor 120 electrically coupled to the first end part of the stepped resistance block and a slide contactor 130 configured to slide on the stepped resistance block.
