<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve use convenience by solving a problem when changing a frequency channel at the change of a base station, in a communication device that supports communication with a connection to a base station and without connection to the base station. <P>SOLUTION: The communication device decides whether a frequency channel after the change is usable for communication without connection to the base station.
