PURPOSE: A continuously variable type automatic transmission is provided to reduce the size and weight by reducing the number of components. CONSTITUTION: A belt variable part(30) is connected to an input shaft. A planetary gear set(50) is installed between the input shaft, the belt variable part, and an output shaft. A friction element transfers power to an interval between the input shaft and the belt variable part or blocks the power. A direction changing part(78) converts the rotational direction of the power delivered from the input shaft. A sun gear is connected to the output shaft. |
