PURPOSE: A hydraulic control apparatus of an automatic transmission and a method thereof are provided to solve driving loss, by omitting a fluid pressure sensor. CONSTITUTION: A first regulating valve (300) is intervened between a first oil pump and a torque converter. A second regulating valve (350) is intervened between a second oil pump and a power train. A control unit (200) controls pumping of the first oil pump and the second oil pump. A first switch (400) is comprised in one end of the first regulating valve.
