PURPOSE: An electrode assembly is provided to make minimum coating of a positive electrode active material and negative electrode active material possible, thereby improving output of an electric energy storage device. CONSTITUTION: An electrode assembly for an electric energy storage device comprises a positive electrode(100) including a positive electrode current collector and a positive electrode active material(102) coated on the positive electrode current collector; a negative electrode(120) including a negative electrode current collector and a negative electrode active material(122) coated on the negative electrode current collector; and a separator(110) inserted between the positive electrode and negative electrode. One of the positive electrode active material and the negative electrode active material is coated on only one side of the corresponding current collector and the other is coated on both sides of the corresponding current collector.
