摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airflow generation device that is capable of ejecting airflow into a free space through an airflow induction phenomenon by means of dielectric barrier discharge. <P>SOLUTION: An airflow generation device 10 according to an embodiment includes: a first electrode 60 made of a rod-shaped conductor 61 whose surface is coated with a dielectric 62; a second electrode 30 disposed parallel to the first electrode 60 and made of a rod-shaped conductor 31 whose cross-sectional shape is different from that of the conductor 61 of the first electrode 60; and a discharging power source 40 capable of applying a voltage between the first electrode 60 and the second electrode 30. Airflow is ejected in a predetermined direction by means of dielectric barrier discharge between the first electrode 60 and the second electrode 30 and a cross section of one of the first electrode 60 and the second electrode 30, which is positioned on an airflow ejection direction side, is formed in an oval shape having a long axis in an airflow ejection direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
