<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which hardly causes printing failure such as image blurring due to the entry of dust and is long in life and excellent in maintainability. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided an image forming apparatus which comprises: a rotary polygon mirror 7 for converting a laser beam 8 generated from a laser light source unit 2 into scanning light; an fθ lens 24 for imaging the scanning light on a photoreceptor drum 19; an optical box 3 for accommodating the rotary polygon mirror 7 and the fθ lens 24; a cover 41 for closing the opening of the optical box 3; a controller 42 disposed outside the optical box 3; an optical bench 23 for fixing the optical box 3; a cable 54 for electrically connecting the controller 42 and a scanner motor 51 of the rotary polygon mirror 7; a through-hole 39 disposed on a surface facing the optical bench 23 of the optical box 3 in order to draw the cable 54 to the outside of the optical box 3; and a sealing member 52 for sealing between the through-hole 39 and an outdoor air, wherein the sealing member 52 is sandwiched by the optical box 3 and the optical bench 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
