Abstract A frame is intended to provide a safe standing situation for walking impaired users. Opening the Front Gate of the frame, entering the Frame and then closing the gate provides the user with a rectangle of handrails that can be reached when standing on any point on the floor of the Frame. With the Front Gate open, a wheelchair can be pushed into the Frame and braked in position. The user can then pull up on the Side Rails or Back Rail to train in Sit to Stand skills. By moving the wheelchair closer to the entrance of the Frame, again with the Front Gates open, the user can Sit to Stand and walk the length of the Frame and return, either walking backwards or turning and by walking forward.
