<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a conventional problem that a periodic update of a firmware cannot be implemented when automatic shutdown is carried out by an auto shut-down function of an image formation device. <P>SOLUTION: A monitoring system monitors a state of an image formation device. A distribution system communicates with the monitoring system. Based on information on auto shutdown notified by the image formation device, the distribution system formulates a distribution setting designating a time zone in which no shutdown is carried out by an auto shut-down function of the image formation device. Then the distribution system reserves the setting in the monitoring system, and upon receiving a request of an updatable firmware that conforms to the distribution setting from the image formation device, distributes the firmware to the image formation device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
