<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quicken the reading of image data, and to finely perform movement of a display area. <P>SOLUTION: An unnecessary data determination circuit 32 determines whether or not the leading address of image data of a display area involved in a data transfer request is coincident with the leading address of the bus width of an internal bus 6, and when determining that those leading addresses are not coincident, outputs a leading address 0 to an address generation circuit 11. In this case, invalid data is included in the transfer data on the bus width of the internal bus 6 read from an SDRAM 4. As for the image data including the invalid data, the unnecessary data determination circuit 32 outputs the position data of the invalid data to a line buffer writing circuit 33.
