<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector with a configuration which can have a low profile, be easily inserted, prevent a flexible printed circuits (FPC) inserted therein from being bent; and establish stable connection. <P>SOLUTION: A connector comprises at least a contact 14 of which a first piece 20 has, on an approximately center thereof, a protrusion 26 protruding toward the opposite side of an elastic part 38. First, the contact 14 is inserted obliquely into an insertion hole 52 of a housing 12 from the opposite direction to the fitting port 18. Then, as the contact 14 is further inserted, the protrusion 26 comes in contact with the inner wall of the insertion hole 52. Next, as the contact 14 is still further inserted, the protrusion 26 is pushed in to cause a first contact part 22 of the contact 14 to become substantially parallel with the insertion hole 52 of the housing 12. Finally, when the insertion of the contact 14 is completed, at least an interval between the vicinity of a tip end of an extended part 34 of the contact 14 and a substrate becomes 0.03 mm or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
