摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spherical surface gradient detection method capable of reliably calculating a spherical gradient vector, an edge point detection method, a spherical surface gradient detection device, an edge point detection device, a spherical gradient detection program, and an edge point detection program. <P>SOLUTION: A spherical gradient calculation method includes: a discrete spherical surface image forming step for forming a discrete spherical surface image in which a photographic image is projected on a discrete spherical surface discretely represented by a plurality of pixels; and a spherical surface gradient calculating step for calculating a spherical surface gradient vector of each of the plurality of pixels constituting the discrete spherical surface image on the basis of pixel values of pixels of which spherical surface gradient vector should be calculated, pixel values of pixels adjacent to the pixels, a length of each of a plurality of sides constituting the pixel, an area of the pixel, and a unit vector from the center of the pixel to each of a plurality of corners constituting the pixel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
