<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilation system capable of inexpensively and effectively carrying out the ventilation of a building under an atmospheric environment having adverse effects on a person or an instrument. <P>SOLUTION: The ventilation system includes: a cable duct 30 housing wiring and pipes for supplying electricity, water, gas or the like to the building 10 and connected to the building 10; an air inlet 41 provided in an area having good atmospheric environment and connected to the cable duct 30; a blower 43 for sending ventilation air sucked from the air inlet 41 to the building 10 through the cable duct 30; and a ventilation opening or a ventilation fan 45 provided in the building 10.
