<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating radioactive material contaminated soil capable of concentrating and separating radioactive material included in insolubilized soil by insolubilizing the radioactive material including in soil with a simple operation without generating extra wastes. <P>SOLUTION: Radioactive material contaminated soil, a solidification agent for reacting to and solidifying moisture included in the radioactive material contaminated soil, ferromagnetic power, metallic powder having an affinity to the ferromagnetic power and the solidification agent, and a solidification auxiliary are agitated and mixed to solidify the radioactive material contaminated soil and to insolubilize the radioactive material (step S1).
