A method for determining a user request is provided in the embodiments of the invention. The method comprises: a content source server receives a request message transmitted by a user device and determines whether the request message carries the rang of the requested target object; if it does not carry the range, the request message is determined to be the first user request; if it carries the range and there is an intersection between the range of the target object and a threshold, the request message is determined to be the first user request; if there is not an intersection between the range of the target object and the threshold, the request message is determined to be a non-first user request. A device and system for determining the user request are also provided in the embodiments of the invention. In the method, device and system for determining the user request provided in the embodiments of the invention, both an edge server and the content source server are not required to support the expansion of the transmission protocol in order to determine whether the user request is the first user request. Therefore, the requirement for devices is reduced and the cost is saved. |
