摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for estimating an operating temperature of turbo machinery. <P>SOLUTION: A body 210 detachably affixed to a component of turbo machinery includes at least one species 406; a first material 402 having a starting first concentration 440 of the at least one species 406; a second material 404 arranged to permit migration of the at least one species 406 from the first material 402. The at least one species 406 migrates from the first material 402 to the second material 404 during operation of the turbo machinery. By determining a final concentration of the at least one species 406 in the first material 402 and in the second material 404, and determining a transient concentration of the at least one species 406 between the first material 402 and the second material 404, a concentration profile is obtained, and by correlating the concentration profile to a corresponding operating temperature, the operating temperature can be estimated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
