摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic imaging apparatus or the like which acquires ultrasonic images higher in resolution than the prior art by optimizing a sound velocity used in ultrasonic imaging. <P>SOLUTION: The ultrasonic imaging apparatus includes: a storage unit for storing plural ultrasonic data acquired by varying delay time of each of channels used in a first ultrasonic scan; an index value acquisition unit for acquiring a first index value and a second index value for each of segmented regions in each ultrasonic image data and for each delay time; and a determination unit for determining the delay time used in a second ultrasonic scan based on the first index value acquired for each of the segmented regions. The index value acquisition unit selects the segmented region for which the determination is made by the determination unit out of the plurality of the segmented regions based on the second index value in each of the segmented region.
