The present invention relates to a machine (1) for folding textile articles (3), comprising a transverse folding module (M1), said transverse folding module (M1) including: a means (9) for conveying textile articles (3) to be folded; an abutment (11) rigidly connected to the frame of the folding machine (1) and arranged above the conveying means (9); and a finger clamp (13) arranged transversally above the conveying means (9) for lifting an upstream edge of a textile article (3) to be folded provided on the conveying means (9) and for clamping said upstream edge against the abutment (11) for a predefined duration as the textile article (3) travels on the conveying means (9), so as to achieve a transverse fold. Said module includes, at the conveying means (9), at least one means (17) for suctioning the textile article (3). |
