The device has drive piston (6) that is moved relative to drive housing (3) of fluid-operated drive unit (2). The drive chambers (12,13) are extended into housing wall (4) of drive housing. The control channels (14,15) are opened by controlled supply and discharge of drive fluid. A quick vent is provided for connecting the drive chambers with atmosphere release position. A quick release unit (27) is provided with electrically and/or fluidically controllable retaining unit through which the closure lid (32) can be releasably fixed in closed position with respect to housing wall.
