MULTIMEDIA RETRIEVAL SYSTEM AND METHOD USING SKETCH

PURPOSE: A multimedia search system using a sketch and a method thereof are provided to quickly search for desired multimedia information by easily performing the sketch with multi touch. CONSTITUTION: A sketch feature vector extracting unit(130) of a user terminal(100) extracts a sketch feature vector from an inputted sketch. A search unit(320) of a web server(300) searches a database(310) for matching multimedia corresponding to the sketch based on the sketch feature vector transmitted from a terminal communication unit(140). A web communication unit(330) transmits the matching multimedia and matching-related information about the matching multimedia to the user terminal.
