PURPOSE: A node for an ad-hoc network is provided to adaptively control a hello interval regarding the mobility of a node. CONSTITUTION: A hello interval setting unit (101) receives a hello message from a neighboring node. The hello interval setting unit calculates a hello message transmission interval by using the information of the neighboring node included in the hello message. The hello interval setting unit stores the calculated hello message transmission interval in a table. The hello interval setting unit sets up the smallest value in the hello message transmission interval as the new hello message transmission interval. A hello message transmission unit (102) transmits the hello message to the hello interval setting unit.
