A camera accessory shoe arrangement comprises a guide way to receive a foot portion of an accessory, formed by the camera top and a plate which is inserted from the interior of the camera top with a portion thereof to engage the edge of an opening in the camera top; the two are secured together by bending a tongue carried by one into engagement with the other. In the inverted arrangement shown in Fig. 2, the side of the camera top is shown at 2 and the top at 3a, an aperture being provided in said top. A plate 1 is provided with a flange 7 which engages the edge of an aperture 6 in the side 2 and the plate is pivoted about the flange 7 into the position shown where it is held by bending a lug 5 to engage a flange 8a on the plate. The flange 8a extends round all the sides of the plate, except the side having the flange 7 and spaces the plate from the top of the camera to provide a guideway for the foot of the accessory. Leaf springs 16 (only one shown) are provided, the ends of which engage slits 12, 13 on the plate 1 to hold the accessory in position. |
