PURPOSE: An auto tip dresser is provided to obtain a high vibration absorption rate by reducing the distance between a tip grinding unit and a supporting unit. CONSTITUTION: An auto tip dresser(100) comprises a supporting unit, a main base(120), a drive motor(130), a gear box(140), and a tip grinding unit(150). One side of the main base is located and coupled at the top of a rod of the supporting unit, and the main base has a through hole at the center. The drive motor has a driving shaft located in the through hole of the main base and provides the driving shaft with torque. The gear box has a hollow cover structure comprising upper and lower plates engaged with each other, wherein the lower plate has a hole corresponding to the through hole of the main base and the upper plate has a hole at the opposite side to the hole. The tip grinding unit is located in the hole of the upper plate of the gear box and dresses a pair of top and bottom electrode tips. |
