METAL EXTRUSION APPARATUS USING ULTRASONIC VIBRATION

PURPOSE: An ultrasonic extrusion apparatus is provided to manufacture high density and high quality of metal products because vibration generated from ultrasonic exciters is effectively transferred to an extrusion die to minimize frictional force between metal materials in an extrusion work. CONSTITUTION: An ultrasonic extrusion apparatus comprises a body(130), front and rear conical surfaces, an extrusion hole(140), and multiple ultrasonic exciters(150). The body is arranged in an extrusion piston(120) and a die holder(122). The front and rear conical surfaces are recessed from the front and rear surfaces of the body. The extrusion hole comprises a first inner diameter part and a second inner diameter part. The ultrasonic exciters are mounted on the outer circumference of the body to apply ultrasonic vibration to the body.
