PURPOSE: An STID(Station Identifier) assignment method in a wireless access system and a device thereof are provided to assign an M2M(Machine to Machine) group identifier through an initial network entry in a system supporting M2M communication. CONSTITUTION: A wireless communication unit(13) transmits and receives wireless signals. A control unit(11) is connected to the wireless communication unit. The control unit controls the wireless communication unit in order to transmit the control information to a base station. The control unit controls the wireless communication unit in order to receive a first message from the base station.
