A still image display method in case of switching channels in a digital broadcasting receiver is provided to generate a still image using a final frame image and to display the generated still image on a screen for removing a black image on the display and for reducing the channel switching time. A final frame image of a former broadcasting channel is captured to generate a still image(S200,S202). The generated still image is displayed on a screen(S204). When the image received from the switched broadcasting channel is normally displayed, the image is displayed on the screen(S206,S208). The still image is generated by capturing a finally received I frame image from the former broadcasting channel. |
