PURPOSE: A method for processing video, an apparatus thereof, and a computer readable recording medium for the same are provided to compensate pixel values of selected pixels using pixel values of pixels that are adjacent to the selected pixels, thereby effectively eliminating defects in video images. CONSTITUTION: An image processing device selects target pixels to be compensated from a plurality of pixels(S11). The said device produces activity values of the selected pixels(S12). The said device determines whether the selected pixels are defected using the produced activity values(S13). The said device compensates the selected pixels using pixel values of pixels that are adjacent to the selected pixels when the selected pixels are determined as defected(S14).
