PURPOSE: A tunable filter filtering apparatus is provided to easily modulate the air gap of a filter and enhance the durability, filtration efficiency and the backwashing efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A tunable filter filtering apparatus comprises a housing of a cylindrical form(200), a filter supporting board(205) installed on the top portion of the filter, a filter compression board(204) installed on the lower part of the filter, and a compression means(212). A filter formed with a tunable metal net in a tube body shape in a longitudinal direction filters the water injected to an inward housing. A compression means fixed to the lower part of the filter compression board controls the air gap of the filter by rising or dropping the filter compression board. A compression means applies compressive force to filter and make the opening of the filter smaller by raising the filter compression board when filtering the raw water. A compression means clears the compressive force applied to the filter to restore the air gap of the filter by descending the filter compression board when backwashing it.
