594376 A device (1) for dispensing an aerated jet of water, such as a shower head, is disclosed. The device comprises an outer casing (10), a dispenser plate (14) and an intermediate plate (18). The dispenser plate closes the outer casing in and comprises a plurality of outlet nozzles (16) for dispensing the aerated jets of water. The intermediate plate is positioned in the casing so as to define a water inlet chamber, in communication with a water supply duct (21), and a water outlet chamber, in communication with the outlet nozzles. The intermediate plate is also provided with an air-water mixing chamber in communication with the water inlet chamber through a plurality of water inlet holes and with the outside environment through a number of air intake holes (30) and with the water outlet chamber through a plurality of aerated water outlet holes (32). The air intake holes are made in respective air intake pipes (31) which extend from the intermediate plate and which are inserted in respective holes (33, 33') in the dispenser plate. The air intake pipes and the outlet holes of the aerated water are formed in an annular element (36) sealed tight to the intermediate plate. The flow of water through the air-water mixing chamber causes air to be drawn into the chamber by Venturi effect, thus aerating the water. The aerated water then enters the water outlet chamber, fills it up and is sprayed out the outlet nozzles. |
