<p>The invention relates to a method and a plant for effectively collecting the horizontal kinetic energy of travelling waves of various amplitudes, wavelengths and periods, hence various wave propagation velocities, and converting the same into static energy of position. According to the invention, the method provides for an effective conversion of the horizontal kinetic energy of travelling waves into energy of position, where said travelling waves have, in certain time intervals, various amplitudes, wavelengths, periods and, consequently, propagation velocities, consisting in changing the apron length and the level of retaining the water brought by the waves according to the momentary kinematics thereof, by the periodical motion of the incident waves entering into resonance with the water ascending and descending motion on the inclined apron of variable geometry. The claimed plant for carrying out the method comprises an elevating apron (1) on the external edge of which there is mounted a convex-curved swinging flap (2) whose position is adjustable in the vertical plane due to a horizontal shaft (3) which permits to vertically change its position by means of an adjusting device (4), in order to permit the water ascending and descending motion of the travelling waves (A) to enter into resonance with the frequency of the wave sequence on an inclined apron, in a collecting channel (5), al water level (B) being increased up to a height (H).</p> |
