<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode material for lithium ion battery having high capacity and a long cycle life. <P>SOLUTION: The negative electrode for the lithium ion battery contains, as a constituting element, Si, Al, M1 (M1 is one or more kinds of metal element selected from transition metal excluding Group IV and V of the periodic table), M2 (M2 is one or more kinds of metal element selected from transition metal Group IV and V of the periodic table), and is composed of alloy material including a Si-Al-M1-M2 alloy phase composing fine crystal grains and a Si phase deposited in a grain boundary of the fine crystal grains and presenting a network structure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
