<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide plate that can sufficiently scatter light incident from an end face and reducing an area wherein brightness of light is insufficient, a surface light source device having the light guide plate, and a transmission image display device. <P>SOLUTION: In the light guide plate having the end face which is a light incident face where light enters, a light emitting surface formed in a direction crossing with the end face and emitting light incident from the end face, and a back surface opposite to the light emitting surface, a plate thickness direction is set up to be a first direction, the longitudinal direction of the end face is set up to be a second direction, and a direction orthogonal to the first and second directions is set up to be a third direction. A plurality of projected parts extended in the first direction and arranged by lining up in the second direction are formed on the end face. When a space in the second direction of bent points B located outside in the third direction of neighboring projected parts is set up to be P and a space in the second direction of bent points C located inside in the third direction of neighboring projected parts is set up to be T, an angle θ made by crossing of a pair of inclined surfaces satisfies the following expression (1). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
