<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the linearity and the gain of output of a stroke sensor versus stroke of a brake pedal. <P>SOLUTION: The stroke sensor Sc for detecting a stroke of the brake pedal 12 includes a sensor turning shaft 74 disposed parallel to a pedal turning shaft 12b to be different in axial center, and an sensor arm 75 turned around the sensor turning shaft 74 by turning a pedal arm 12c. In a region where the resolution of the stroke sensor Sc is set higher than other regions, the tangent line T1 to the turn locus of the pedal arm 12c and the tangent line T2 to the turn locus of the sensor arm 75 are set parallel to each other. Accordingly, when high detection accuracy by the stroke sensor Sc is required, not only the generation of errors is limited to a minimum by increasing the linearity of output characteristics of the stroke sensor Sc but also a brake feel is enhanced by limiting the change of output characteristics to a minimum even when there is variance on attaching position of the stroke sensor Sc. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
